Peach Pearl

Peach pearl is a subtle rosy peach with just a hint of iridescent shimmer. Although this shade is named after the juicy flesh of the fruit, the actual hue is much paler than its namesake. Peach was first used as a color name in English in 1588. In the Art Deco design movement of the 1920s and 1930s, peach pearl mirrors were popular in high-class homes and in night spots. This shade also saw a resurgence in 1980s interior design. Despite its retro appeal, however, this pastel is set to be one of the hottest hues of the spring, mentioned by many industry experts as the natural evolution of millennial pink. The warmth of this shade can brighten any room, adding levity to deep, moody hues and reflecting light to make small spaces look larger. It looks modern and sophisticated paired with forest green, chocolate brown, copper, and brass. This awards season, peach pearl gowns have been ubiquitous on a host of A-list celebs. Bring the look home for the spring with a gauzy sundress, youthful romper, or even a fitted blazer or pants suit. You’ll be ahead of the curve when you incorporate this edgy hue in your wardrobe. Part of peach’s appeal is its flattering effect on every complexion. Choose a warm, creamy shade to play up your best features.
